Let’s be honest. I love sharks.
My husband married me knowing full well what he was signing up for, so when his birthday rolled around… he never really had a choice. A shark card was inevitable.
This hammerhead from Carla Creatief was simply too perfect to resist, especially paired with the sentiment “Nailed it.” Peak dad joke energy? Maybe. Peak me energy? Absolutely.
The background is built with layers of dark blue Distress Oxides, bright sunshine rays, and an entirely reasonable amount of sparkly splatters. (My definition of “reasonable” may differ from the rest of society, but that’s a them problem.)
Fun fact: Hammerhead sharks can detect the tiny electrical signals of prey hiding beneath the sand using special sensory organs called the ampullae of Lorenzini. Meanwhile, I can detect a new craft supply from three online shops away. We all have our talents.
This card has everything I love: sharks, sparkle, dramatic blues, questionable amounts of splatter, and a pun that deserves a standing ovation.
