Sometimes a project comes full circle… and sometimes it hops right back into your lap demanding a glow-up. This tiny witch frog from MaxStitchesArt on Etsy was actually the very first cross stitch pattern I ever stitched. So yes, this is a restitch, and yes, she’s back and cuter than ever.
The design features a little frog rocking a purple witch hat, looking like she’s about to cast a chaotic but adorable spell. I stitched her on 16ct black aida, and those greens and purples hit so much harder this time. Black fabric may test your patience, but it also delivers drama and honestly, she deserves the spotlight.
This small project worked up quickly, gave me all the nostalgic stitchy feels, and reminded me just how far I’ve come since my first wobble-filled cross stitch adventure. Consider this the frog’s official glow-up tour.
Now the only question is: mini hoop? flatfold? or should she become a tiny ornament with main character energy?
