— because finishing is optional and starting new things is a lifestyle —
Welcome to my sacred mountain of WIPs, also known as The Pile of Eternal Projects, a chaotic yet fabulous ecosystem where half-stitched critters, half-inked pages, and half-baked ideas all come to vibe together. Think of it as a cozy craft zoo… but all the animals escaped and no one has the emotional energy to wrangle them back.
Here’s what currently lurks in the pile:
Cross Stitch WIPs
Let me introduce you to my current Work In Progress, lovingly known as Book Burrow, a ridiculously cute pattern by Nathnolu. It stars the most adorable little badger ever stitched… or half stitched. He’s lounging in his bright yellow armchair, reading a book like he’s got his entire life sorted — meanwhile I’m over here stitching in chaotic 20-minute bursts between snacks and mild craft panic.

Parts of him are finished… sort of. He has vibes. He has potential. He has… limbs? (We celebrate the small wins here.) The armchair is slowly emerging, thread by thread, like a magical IKEA build that for once isn’t fighting back. The badger himself is already judging me with those tiny stitched eyes, wondering why his book has more progress than the rest of him.
Stitched on my usual fabric with my usual “this won’t take long at all” optimism, it’s turning into a cozy, autumn-ish masterpiece — if you squint. Woodland creature? Check. Warm colors? Check. Peak craft gremlin energy? Absolutely.
Stay tuned for updates… or don’t. Because let’s be honest: this badger might be sitting unfinished in his cute little burrow longer than I sit in mine. But hey — at least one of us is reading.
