A colleague of mine had her birthday and I needed a card. We had a busy and hectic time at work and thought a card in that theme would be nice as well as a green one as I knew she really likes green. For the scene I used my distress background with “evergreen bough” and “pine needles” and my stencil from craft Emotions “Monstera leaves”. With the stencil I enter the Addicted to Stamps stencil stencils or die cuts. I used texture paste to get a more jungle feeling. The paste I mixed with a few drops “mint macaron” and “pretty peacock” re-fillers from Stampin’up to colour the leaves as well. I added some acrylic inks and water to sprinkle the background (black and silver). I love the outcome of this background so much.
The stamp set itself is from Heffy Doodle, the “Chimply the best”. The chimps are coloured with my Copics in browns E31-E39 and E50-E53 for the face with cute R30 cheeks (and white gel pen dots). The bananas are Y17-Y19 with a bit op Y38 and B39/Y11. The liana is G20-G28. Everything is mounted on black card stock, even the sentiment. it is stamped with white pigment ink and directly glued to the background. I enter the birthday challenge from Scrapping4Fun as well as the anything goes challenge from Love to Scrap.
