Lawn Fawnatics has a sea-themed challenge and couldn’t resist. I could finally use my Create a Smile stencil background and my fav theme stamp sets, The background is made with distress (oxides) in tumbled glass, salted ocean and mermaid lagoon. It is no secret that I love making my own backgrounds with distress, stencils, texture paste or just plain paint spatters. I use that for the Stamping Sensation challenge. I used the “So Jelly” for the main images and sentiment, the “Life is good” for the crab and the shell, “You are sublime” for the seaweed and rock. Of course, I used my cute little axolotl set as well, the “I like you a lotl” and my “fintastic friends” for the fishes and sandcastle. A lot of sets for one little scene, but I love that all Lawn fawn sea sets match so well. Can’t wait to expand my collection (hint: new release).
I coloured all the pinkish critters in R20-R29, the blue fishes in B91-B99 and kept it simple, just added some cute cheeks on the animals. Just for cuteness. I added a lot of bits and pieces from that were over from last cards and fits perfectly the little red wagon challenge. The little shell got some Wink of Stella, to add minimal glitter, as the receiver is not a big fan of it. The receiver also loves pink, so I tried to colour the eye-catchers pink and the rest in blueish colours to make the background more interesting without standing out too much. I rarely do flat cards, but I did not layer the scene on dimensions, as the layers of the scene itself were thick enough for my taste. But I added some dimension to the axolotl en starfish.
