I received a gorgeous galaxy-bee card from an IG friend and needed a card to answer. I know she liked pink, Clearly Besotted and cuteness on a card. I decided to use my unicorn set “Fairy Tale unicorns” from Clearly Besotted for her. My background is from distress colours “spun sugar”, “picked raspberries”, “seedless preserves” and “dusty concord” and got a bit more purple than intended. Especially because of the layout of the clouds, I did not think of that during blending. Hope she likes it anyway. I used some water and acrylic paint spatters to get a more fantasy looking background. I did not want to have just white stars, but a bit more colour in between the clouds. I used my stitched cloud die I have had for ages to cut white card stock and vellum to create a cloud border top and bottom.
Copic colours for the unicorns are held really simple, just one dark and light colour. The unicorns self are white with shadows in N0-N1 and the colours for the hair is yellow (Y11 and Y13), blue (BG01 and B00), rose (R30 and R00), purple (BV00 and BV02) and green (G12, G20, YG11, as it turned out too yellow). I added some platinum stickles to the unicorns to get a bit more sparkle. Love the sentiment, as it is so positive and fitting. Hopefully, she liked the card as much as I had fun making this one. I enter the anything goes challenge from Love to Craft, 2 Crafty Critters (hope a horse with a horn counts as an animal for the challenge) and Cute card Thursday.
