I had a huge background creating session to play a bit with texture paste, stencils and my distress (oxide) inks. One of the backgrounds I created was the “cracked pistachio” and “evergreen bough”, with a hint of “pine needle” and black. I used the Craft Emotions stencil “monstera leaves a5” with Stampin’ Ups texture paste. To get a more greenish outcome, I mixed the “mint macaron” and “pretty peacock” re-filler in the paste and man I love that result. The fluffiness of the leaves and the fitting colour made this my favourite background ever. I splattered some acrylic paint in black and silver to create some interesting patterns behind the leaves. This is perfect for the make your mark challenge from Addicted to Stamps and more. It is green without glitter, so I hope this is masculine enough for the Scrapping4fun challenge.
The stamps are from Lawn Fawn, from the sets “Love you calyptus”, the matching flip-flop stamp and the “a bug deal” to create the rest of the scene. The koalas are Copic coloured with mu C0-C3 and a little bit of R20 and R30 for the light pink parts. I used my white gel pen for highlights and the cute little cheeks. The eucalyptus leaves and the tree were combined and coloured in E71-E79 and G12, G16 and G17. The sentiment is stamped with white pigment ink on black cardstock and the main word is die-cut with my dollar store die and old rose card stock. The card is a bit darker than intended, but I love this background and the scene so much. Hope the recipient likes it as well. I enter the anything goes challenge from Love to Scrap.
