Another card swap card, another CAS card. I had a big Create a smile order and did not used all stamps yet, so my challenge was using another one of that set. I really struggled with this racoon, as the tail is black and white, but the stamp seems to just give you one colour. I did not want to make this little guy darker than necessary and went with the lighter tail. But I am not 100% happy with this colour combination. I need to play with it a bit more to find a better one. I used my Copics in C0-C9 and a little bit red for the tiny heart on the envelop.
The background is made with Distress oxide in the colours “spun sugar” and “abandoned coral”. The stencil is from Action Netherlands and gives it a little more detail than just a bit of colour. I love the effect and it is perfect for the ombre challenge from Addicted to CAS. I added some black and white paper on the right side, it is the Kaisercraft “Shine Bright” collection. I saw all the black and white stripes everyone is using and thought, I like dots. I used my Nuvo drops in clear and black, but I do not know why, but my black ones are really thick and aren’t drying up as the clear ones. Really annoying, but I still like the extra texture added by them on this clean card. As always I used a structured card-base for the same reason. To break up the all smooth white with a bit of texture. I enter the anything goes challenge from Love to Craft and Papercraft challenges.
