Sending a BIG smile

I had another snailmail challenge, this time I have to make a shaker card. I do not know why, but shaker cards always trouble me. But I thought the “Elfie Selfie” Lawn Fawn elephant would look very cute in a Polaroid photo shaker. I saw the sketch challenge from Sketch Saturday and thought this one would be perfect to use (I rotated it by 90 degrees as it looked better for my card). This would be a perfect kids card as well and I enter the Lawn Fawnatic challenge with this one. Next to the shaker element, I did another unusual ting (for me, not really something special), I used dry embossing. The embossing folder is one of the animal prints from Sizzix to get the animal theme going. I used pink paper from Kaisercraft “Lullaby Collection” for the smile die, the balloon, the heart and the background of the polaroid (it is a bit hidden with a piece of vellum). As I used the same paper for all elements, I wanted to disguise it a bit with the vellum.

The elephant is coloured with my Copics with C0-C5 and R30. I paper pieced the balloon, to have the whole card using only 3 colours, Gray, White and Pink. I finished the card with some Novo drops and sequins in the shaker. For a shaker card, it is a real quick and easy one.

Happy Crafting,
