Did I mention that my favourite cards to make are cards with no real occasion? Like motivational ones or just a random theme. I participate in a card swap group on Instagram and it is so much fun to make those random cards. This time I made one for a botanical lover. So it was a no-brainer to use my “monstera” stencil from CraftEmotions to make a nice background with a few different greens from my Distress inks. At first I was thinking using my glossy texture paste on this one as well, but I think the background is present enough as it is.
I used two different Lawn Fawn stamp sets, the “hang in there” for the cute sloth and sentiment and the “A Bug Deal” for the leaves. I had some scrap paper left, I think it is the Sahara Sand one from Stampin up. I used this to layer my background and lift everything up a bit with some foam tape. The sloth is mounted with foam tape as well, the rest is left flat. I added some small rhinestones as a finishing touch. I hope she likes it, I really had some trouble creating the cuteness factor with this one. Hopefully, she likes sloths as much as I do. I entered the following anything goes (with critters) challenges from 2 Crafty Critter Crazies, Love to Craft and Scrapping4fun.
