Special Delivery

I just got the cute “Special Delivery” stamp set from Lawn Fawn and had to make a card with it. But I forgot to order some cloud stencils as well (oops), so I had to make them myself. I made the cloud background with “tumpled glass” Distress Oxide and a brush. Love the outcome. I stamped the sentiment straight on the background in black archival ink. The most work was the pull tab, as I did not have a die cutting set for this as well. I used the one from the “Swish n Pop Pull Tab” set from Lawn Fawn instead. This meant I had to make my own stabilizer part and the measurements for the owl wings weren’t predefined. A bit extra work, but I saved a few bucks. I use this card for a birthday of a friend and is just in time for the Lawn Fawnatics birthday card challenge.

The owl got a quick colouring with my earth Copic markers (E71-E79, E50,E51 and E21) with a little red cheeks (R30) and cute little white gel pen dots. The mail carrier hat and bag are blues (B21-B28) with a little bit of red (R21-R24) with a Wink of Stella, as always I could not resist to add a teeny weeny bit of sparkle to the card. The owl is perfect for the feathered friends challenge from little red wagon. I also enter the anything goes challenge from Crafter’s Café.

Happy Crafting,
Stefanie

He is absolutely perfect for our LRW challenge this week. Thanks so much for joining us. I think your clouds are brilliant! Just think what else you can get with that extra savings. This is a darlin card that I am sure will be so enjoyed.
