This weekend I finally tried out my texture paste, I know, you guys use it for ages, but I never gave it a try before. The card I made with it is a bright colour card in red for a change. I used the stamp set from Lawn Fawn “Elphie Selfie” and first I planned on using the “flip flop”version as well, but I liked it better with just one elephant and not cover up the gorgeous gloss paste. The design paper in the back is the “head over heels” collection from Bobunny in the same colours as the distress background and with dots as well. I used my dollar store die for the sentiment and actually cut it three times out of black card stock to get a bite more dimension.
I coloured the elephant in de C0-C3 series from my Copics and gave him cute pink (R30) cheeks with white gel pen dots. The mobile phone got a bit darker with C1-C5. But most of the work was the background. I used the fired brick, festive berries and spun sugar distress inks and covered the background with a dotted stencil and Rangers’ transparent gloss texture paste. Love the outcome. i was a bit afraid to use water of spatters together with the gloss, but I will be braver and more adventurous the next time. It is so shiny and gorgeous and it looks like a lot of work, but it was a really quick and easy. I enter the anything goes challenge from Love to Craft and the Crafter’s Café, as well as the animals challenge from Just us Girls.
