Stinkin’ Cute

I made another quick and easy valentine card with this Lawn Fawns cutie “Stinkin’ cute”. Of course it is the time of the year for Valentine challenges, and I will enter the Double D and little Red Wagon. The colouring of the skunk was the most time consuming task. I used my Copic markers C0-C7 and 100 and a bit of R30 for the cheeks. The little hard in his hands is paper pieced with the same design paper as the big hard from the background. All the paper pieces are from the “love letters” 6×6 paper pad from Mindy Terasawa. I love the double stitched heart die and the effect it creates on this card. Perfect for the Pattern (and CAS) challenge from Clean and Simple.

This time, I did not use my dies to cut out the critter, but trimmed it by hand. I did not like the fuzzy cut look on this design and the clean black lines from the stamp fits much better. Luckily a skunk has for legs and can enter the Allsorts challenge. To get some more details on the background, I used my Nuvo drops (morning dew) to give the paper an even fancier look.

Happy Crafting,
Stefanie

The coloring of the skunk although time-consuming was so worth it as you gave him dimension, and realism. This really adds to your card. So glad that you shared this card with us at Double D Challenge.

That’s a stinkin’ cute card, Stephanie! I like the crisp look of the little gray fox against the subtle pattern of the large heart. Thank you for participating in our “Pattern” challenge at ATCAS!

Oh my goodness Stefanie, I’m so sorry I haven’t stopped by your blog in ages… my blog feed isn’t updated and tonight I was having a tidy up and came by only to see you’ve been blogging… urgh, my feed says 2019 was your last blog post.

I love your sweet little skunk and his punny sentiment, the pink heart looks really nice instead of being blazen red 🙂

I hope you’re OK and staying safe and once again, I’m sorry hun… blame Google lol xx

Fabulous “stinking cute” card. Really like the simple color palette and the three sizes of hearts. Thanks for joining us at Addicted to CAS.
