We have snow in the Netherlands, it almost never happens, so I am in winter mood. To put the mood on paper, I used the cute stamp set from Lawn Fawn “Winter Alpaca”. It is such a cutie and perfect for the weather challenge at Lawn Fawnatics and a no valentine card for Stamps and Fun.
The alpaca is coloured with my Copics in cold Gray (C1, C3), earth (E53, E51, E21) and the greens (YG67, YG63). The cheeks got some red (R30) with white gel pen dots. The scarf got some extra sparkles with a bit of ‘Wink of Stella’.
The background is one with my Distress inks (blues and a tiny bit of black) and some water and paint spatters in white and Gray. I love how easy these are to make and how fabulous they look. The darker ones with a bit more colours as galaxy scenes and the lighter ones in all blue as skies. I die cut everything with my lawn fawn slimline dies and love the effect. I added some black layer as well for a more defined look.
To add some playful elements, I used some vellum with a scallop shape border. I used an second hand bought die cut (with no name as everything was unpacked) for the trees and the sentiment. The sentiment is white pigment ink on black card stock (I love the combination).
Of course I could not leave the pun out of the card, so I added it on the inside with a little “alpaca” of its own. Ok ok, I know it is a lama, the stamp set “Say what? Christmas Critters” from Lawn Fawn says so, but nobody will know that 😉. With two cute alpacas, it is a card ready for the 2 Crafty Critters challenge as well.
