Wish Big

This card was really hard to make. It is my first snail mail card and I find it very challenging to make a card for somebody I almost know nothing about. The interests I got were pink, clouds and no glitters. So I picked the “Elphie Selfie” stamp set from Lawn Fawn, as I really like Gray with pink and an elephant was the logical choice (my mice are too wintery). I coloured the elephant in de C0-C3 series from my Copics and gave him cute pink cheeks. It is one of the cutest cards I made in a long time and hopefully cute enough for the Crafty Calendar challenge and the receiver.

The background is done with a stencil and Distress Oxides “picked raspberry” and “spun sugar” and some brushes. Totally new and perfect for the make my Monday challenge new in stash. I added some blue to get a more dark look on the left than the right. A lot of markers for making a mark and the Addicted to Stamps and more challenge. The clouds are dies from the dollar store around the corner just like the sequins I added. The background paper is from Stampin’ Up, the Berry Burst in “colour theory design”. The elephant got some extra foam tape for dimension, the clouds got some tiny bit of dimension as well. I hope the receiver likes her card as it was much fun to make something different. I am really glad that I found my stencils again. It is really fun playing with them!

Happy Crafting,

It’s perfect for our ‘cute’ challenge at Crafty Calendar- sweet image, fabulous design and colour choice- so pleased you chose to play along.

Your card is perfectly sweet! The grey and pink definitely work well together, and I like the added interest of the tilted panels. Thanks for joining us at Addicted to Stamps and More!
