The Valentine season is officially started and the “I love you (calyptus)” from Lawn Fawn is a cute koala looking for love or eucalyptus, I am not entirely sure 😉. This one is perfect for the lots of love challenge from Lawn Fawnatics and the koala fits the 2 Crafty Critters challenge. I coloured him with my cold Gray Copic markers (C0-C5) and a bit red (R11 en R00) for the cheeks and ears. I thought I give it a try with some white gel marker for some extra details. Not really sure if I like it for all images, but it looks cute on the koala. But is makes him definitely a cutie and fit for the Crafty Calendar challenge. The eucalyptus is coloured in green (G12,G16, G21 and G000). To give it some extra pop, I used a heart shape stitched die as a frame for the cutie with some Nuvo Drops in morning dew, maybe I will emboss it next time I use this design. Think another texture would look even better.

I made another handmade background, but this time with some distress ink (spun sugar) with a lot of water and my “Bringing Crafts-Too you” press. It is such a nice effect, but not such a fan of the wobbly paper afterwards from all the used water. Guess I need better paper for this technique. To give it some extra colour, I added some acrylic paint splashes in red and white. I love making my own backgrounds. I used the sentiment with my old school label maker and the rest of it by stamping it directly on the paper.
Happy Crafting,
Stefanie
