I Spy a great Friend

This is my first go at a slimline card and I am not sure what to think. It is a nice change I guess, but you need new dies for this format and I only have the “Small Slimline with Lift the Flaps” one from Lawn Fawn. Obviously, I just used the stitched outline for this project. But it is nice to fit all three of the cute ninjas from My Favorite Things “Ninja-mazing” stamp set on the card. For this new format and new die I enter the challenge from Crafter’s Cafe. The card is based on the sketch from Try Stampin’ on Tuesday but I cheated a bit with the sentiment as I did not like it on the bottom of the card 🤫

The ninjas are coloured with my Copics (C0-C7) and blue violets (BV13, BV31, B63) to fit the ‘Whisteria Wonder’ purple from Stampin’ Up. I layered the die cut and the ninjas for some extra interest. But I have to say I struggle without some extra frames. But I liked the coloured card base for a change. I never use others than white and kraft ones. this one was a bit out of my comfort zone but it was fun to experiment with that. It still felt like a bit of empty space on the card, so I added some bling with 3 rhinestones and some sparkles on the ninja stars with my Wink of Stella. It is a nice friendship card and enters the challenge from Ike’s World.

Happy Crafting,
