Dachshund through the Snow

I have to say that this card is a bit too closely inspired by the wonderful card from Michelle (The Card Grotto, please take a look at her blog, she is inspiring). But her card was so perfect I had to make it as well. The stamp set is from clearly besotted and is called “Dachshund through the snow” and as a dog lover, this stamp set is awesome.

So I made another distressed background (i promise my next card will not have one) with light and dark blues, but covered the snowy hill area during the distressing, to keep it as white as possible. Perfect for a nice snow scene for the Little Red Wagon challenge. I added some white snow with my chalk pen (no water of white paint, splashes). Keeping it simple this time, I coloured the cute dachshund with my Copics and added some Wink of Stella to the whites in the Santa hat and fitting for the Double D Challenge as their inspiration pic had a cat with a Santa hat (I admit, I am kind of a dog person).

Even so this is not a traditional Christmas card, I really wanted to add some more sparkles. My Sparkles had to come to the rescue and I added some rose gold to the stars in the tree tops. A nice Winter Wonderland for the Love to Scrap Challenge as well.

Happy Crafting,
Stefanie

Absolutely adorable! Such a sweet scene, and I love how you framed it with the black cardstock. Thanks for joining us at Little Red Wagon.
