What’s Kraken?

I can’t get enough of the galaxy-ish background. So I made a fantasy, watery one for a quick little CAS card. The stamp set I used is from Lawn Fawn and is called “Lovable Legends” and is perfect for a birthday or no occasion card for any legend in your life. And this weeks sketch from Lawn Fawnatics is such a nice inspiration for this card.

I coloured the kraken in V12, V15 and V06 in the violet shades of my Copics, the little ship got some E 34 and E35 as well as some B93 and B91 as well as some Wink of Stella to get some more glitters to the card. The theme is inspired by nature (we have some water and frogs behind the house and with some wind from the last days, I had to think about this scene 😀 ) and fits the AAA Cards challenge as well as the animal challenge from Stempelgarten.

The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder and everything is layered to add some more interest to the card. And voila, the card is finished. The backround (done with Distress Inks in black, blue, purple and green) was the most time consuming part of the card.

Happy Crafting,
Stefanie

Hi Stefanie, I just love your little fantasy card. The dinky ship is just the sweetest and the placement looks like its sailing into view. Great job with the Distress Inks x
